As the migrant caravan makes its way across Mexico, many Americans are starting to classify the caravan as an “invasion.”
National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd said, “call it whatever you want, but Border Patrol agents are calling it an invasion.” He may have a point — members of the caravan are marching with Honduran flags in tow — a symbol of the country and the oppression they are trying to escape. Why would they fly the flag of a country they’re willing to walk over 1,300 miles to leave?
Others argue that these people are just trying to escape a life of poverty and oppression. The United States has the resources and economy to help these people out and give them a new life.
What do you think?
