Following the last election, the decision of whether to get rid of the Electoral College system altogether and just use the Popular Vote to decide elections has been up for discussion and viewed differently by many states.

On one hand, switching to the popular vote would get rid of the skewed winner-take-all nature that is currently present in the electoral voting system.

On the opposite side, keeping with the electoral voting system would allow the smaller states to keep their equal voice in elections.
